The very public pooch was best known for his role in Harry’s Practice on Channel Seven and died peacefully at the home of Dr Katrina Warren, his celebrity veterinarian owner. Warren said the pair had developed a very special friendship over the years based on trust and love, with the two a celebrated team. The good doctor also said that despite Toby’s passing it was also a time to remember and celebrate his life.

The border collie, originally hailing from the Southern Highlands in New South Wales, was an easy choice when faced with finding a cuddly co-host with Toby standing out from his siblings. Toby apparently knew he was destined for fame and he became a household pet across the nation as we watched his first baby bath and vaccination to his hilarious run-ins with some unsettled sheep on the Totally Wild show on Channel Ten.

Toby had his first spread in a magazine at just ten weeks, a natural according to Warren, Toby featured in all the best magazines including New Idea, NW, Woman’s Day, Dolly and the Australian Woman’s Weekly. His media charm led his to being spotted by television experts who literally groomed him for initially sporadic appearances before his career really took off as Dr Harry’s four-legged side-kick in the 90’s show Harry’s Practice where Toby would nod sagely as the doctor explained how animals worked. RIP Toby – for reminding television viewers that animals are far more entertainment and affection.

Although Prugo is pleading not guilty to the robberies he is spending a lot of time talking about them to the American media. The Bling Gang was made up mostly of teenage girls who were said to have been fascinated by celebrity. It is claimed that they researched their burglaries on the internet by getting hold of addresses and finding out where the owners of the homes would be at certain times.

According to Prugo he and another burglar had first managed to gain access to Paris Hilton’s home where they found valuables and money two months before she realised she had been robbed. She only realised after the gang broke in for a second time when it is said they managed to walk off with nearly $2 million in cash and jewellery. Prugo claims they also stole five grammes of cocaine.

Although other high profile victims of the gang are said to have been actress Rachel Bilson and actor Orlando Bloom they were only arrested after CCTV cameras caught them breaking into the home of Lindsay Lohan. The footage was released to the public after which police received a tip off.

The rebellious royal ratbag has openly slated the gossip mag for their leaking of details that were supposed to be secret over his involvement in the military back in January 2008. A global embargo was broken by New Idea which revealed that Harry was part of a British force, the Blues and Royals appropriately, stationed in Afghanistan warring against the Taliban.

Harry’s exposure made worldwide headlines and after he had battled hard to join the campaign and the precious prince was forced to return to old Blighty after a tour of just ten weeks following his cover being blown.

His latest outburst took place at a charity to-do in London where he was asked by media about his thoughts on the ongoing crisis in Afghanistan – to which replied that he would love to be back in the country fighting but that the f**king Australian press had ruined his chances. Ironically his comments were made to another, albeit British, gossip magazine. Young Harry said it was an awesome experience being involved in a war and that he would have carried on the fight had he had the chance – but he didn’t have a choice apparently.

Brother Will is due to visit Australia later this month to ‘acquaint’ himself with the country, including visiting several areas devastated by the recent bush fires.
