2DayFM shock jock Kyle Sandilands will stay with 2DayFM but will be suspended without pay until October after independent counseling.
The radio station announced in a statement that Sandilands would remain suspended without pay until 7th October 2009.
He will be suspended for a total of four weeks, which one has already been served.
The station also said that the pay penalty would be donated to charitable causes.
Sandilands’ arrived back in Australia yesterday in true rock star style, wearing a hip hop hat, gold sunglasses and a carrying a Louis Vuitton suitcase.
Sandilands’ blasé arrival in Sydney on Wednesday hit shaky ground as 2DayFM failed to support the radio announcers claim’s that he will return to air next week.
Kyle had tried to dismiss suggestions that he would have to fight for his professional life at Austereo yesterday.
Later, Sandilands’ wife Tamara Jaber presented him with chocolate cupcakes in front of waiting journalists outside of their St Ives home.
The suspension comes following comments he made about TV comedian Magda Szubanski and her weight, saying the only way for her to lose weight would be in a concentration camp, and also the 14 year-old on air rape scandal.
Both scandals have also had an effect on the ratings, with the breakfast show down 2.2 percent.
