British singing sensation Lily Allen had nothing to offer awaiting fans and media at Brisbane Airport except a rude hand gesture and profanities.
When approached by a newspaper journalist at Brisbane International Airport, the popstar said she had nothing to say after what turned out to be an exhausting three-hour flight from across the Tasman.
In Australia for yesterday’s Big Day Out at the Gold Coast, she covered her head with a jacket to avoid the cameras and refused to stop for questions.
Allen, who had chart success last year with her second album, It’s Not Me, It’s You, headed straight for the exit and a packet of cigarettes.
After she was approached a second time, she responded again by saying that she didn’t have anything to say.
When a photographer started taking pictures, her security team stepped in which caused a heated argument when he was asked to move on.
Allen emerged from her jacket with just enough time to join the conversation by saying that she had just got off a three-hour flight so f—k off.
Also on the same flight as Allen were Muse frontman Matt Bellamy and Dizzee Rascal, who were happy to talk, with Bellamy saying that he loved Brisbane and thought it was a beautiful city with beautiful people.
