Pay TV network Foxtel is in hot water after broadcasting sexual footage of nude college girls and Swiss swingers under an incorrect MA rating.
The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has investigated viewers complaints regarding programs like Naked Wild On, which was broadcast on E! Entertainment Channel and The Wonderful World Of Sex on the Comedy Channel.
Footage aired on the programs included US college students frolicking nude on spring break and vision of a Swiss swingers’ club and “reality TV” footage at a US brothel.
ACMA has taken a strong view on the matter, finding that the programs should have been given an R18 rating, and such programs could not be broadcast on pay TV services.
Foxtel has assured that more rigorous classification procedures will be put in place.
